About CFTS
CrossFit Team Savage (CFTS) is a "guerrilla" affiliate.
We do not have a brick and mortar gym.
San Diego's many parks, beaches, hills, jungle gyms, any playgrounds are OUR gym.
ADVANTAGES:
Not having an expensive gym enables us to:
- Operate with very little overhead and pass the cost savings on to our athletes. Currently we reinvest all of our revenue into new equipment.
- Keep our numbers small and workouts intense.
- Have flexible schedules and the freedom to workout anywhere.
WHAT WE OFFER:
CrossFit Team Savage specializes in 4 areas:
1) FREE "Park Program" bodyweight workouts.
2) "Skill Day" Workouts.
3) A 12 Class "Beginner's Program" on CrossFit Exercises, Workouts and Programming.
4) Fun, competitive "Group Workouts".
DISCOVER WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU:
We understand that CrossFit can be overwhelming to a beginner. Walking into a CrossFit gym for the first time can be an intimidating experience.
We offer these intermediate steps:
- The "Park Program" is intended to give anyone an exposure to "Functional Fitness" and the benefits of "High Intensity" exercise. We provide the classes at no charge to eliminate any financial barriers or commitment fears. If you like how you feel after these body-weight workouts take the next step and check out our Skill Day Workouts.
- "Skill Day" Workouts are intedned to give anyone a low cost opportunity to learn Medicine Ball, Kettlebell, Olympic and other Weightlifting skills without the commitment of joining our "Beginner's Program". If you like working with the weights take the next step and sign up for our Beginner's Program.
- Our "Beginner's Program" classes and workouts are specially designed to teach you the fundamental CrossFit Exercises so you can have the skills, technique, fitness and confidence to join a Group Workout.
WHAT NEXT?
After graduating from our 4 week (12 class) "Beginner's Program" we encourage our athletes to do one of the following three:
1) Join our Group Workouts.
2) Take advantage of additional 1-on-1 and Couples Personal Training.
3) Take what you have learned and join the group classes of another San Diego CrossFit Affiliate "brick and mortar" gym.

I love this idea of doing things outdoor - i'm a trainer at CrossFit SoCal now and currently run an endurance group on thursdays at mission bay where we run weekend warriors.
